When is registration open?
Online registration is open February 23th, 2026 until April 26th, 2026.
What are the registration fees?

Open competition base registration: $55

Team Trial add-on: $50

Grand Championship add-on: $30

Each additional event: $35

Spectator: $25 (8 and under free)

What are the criteria for National Kungfu Team qualification?
An athlete must achieve a score of 8.0 or above in any event to qualify for the National Kungfu Team.
What are the Grand Champion selection criteria?
Athletes must participate in at least 3 event categories: an empty hand routine, a short weapon, and a long weapon. The division Grand Champion will be the competitor with the highest placement in 3 events. An athlete may compete in more than 3 events, and the highest placement in each category will be applied toward their Grand Champion standing.

Do I need to print a paper ticket?
No. Either a paper or digital copy on a mobile device is sufficient.

Group Competitive Performance
What are the flexible and stiff weapon divisions?
Traditional Kungfu weapon form events are held in two variants:

Stiff weapons support their own weight and their forms are generally more deliberate.

Flexible weapons bend and "snap" and their forms are generally more acrobatic.

What are the registration requirements?
The USA International Kungfu Championship is open to all practitioners of Chinese martial arts willing to abide by the Rules and Regulations of the competition.
What are the competition levels?

Beginners: up to two (2) years of experience

Intermediate: two (2) to four (4) years of experience

Advanced: four (4) or more years of experience

Each level will additionally be subdivided by age and (for some events) gender.
I made a mistake, how can I change my registration?
Please Contact Us right away to request a change. Changes made seven (7) or more days after registration may incur an administration fee.

No changes will be accepted after the registration deadline.
Is there an all-around championship or winner?
Yes. Athletes may choose to register for Grand Champion consideration in addition to their Open Tournament or National Team Trials registration. See Rules for details.
Are there team or group events?
Yes! There is a single Group Performance category. See the Division Codes document on the Rules page.
Are there sparring or Sanda events?
No. There will be no sparring (no-contact, light contact, full contact) or Sanda events.
